Do you set your camera on Auto when taking street photos or Manual?
Number one tip, always bring your camera with you and shoot as often you can.
Dont get stuck in one genre, shoot landscape or birds now and then. Different gear and settings puches your understanding how everything works.
Dont bring all the stuff with you, one camera and one lens. Decide what you want to shoot and stick to that.
For all photography, slow down you pace. Walk slowly and use your eyes. But I agree, always have the camera on and ready to shot.
